Guide to learning English using the Effortless English method
4-step learning process
1. Listen & Absorb
Listen to the story multiple times at different speeds to get familiar with natural intonation and pronunciation.
Real life example:
Listen to a story about a trip at normal speed, then listen again at a slower speed.
Study tips:
- 1Focus on understanding the main idea
- 2No need to understand every single word
- 3Pay attention to intonation and stress
7 Core Principles
Always learn phrases, not individual words
Learn vocabulary in phrases or complete sentences instead of individual words to understand the meaning in context. For example: Instead of learning the word 'interest', learn the whole phrase 'I'm interested in technology.'
Don't study grammar rules traditionally
Don't try to memorize grammar rules mechanically. Instead, learn grammar by listening and repeating many times through natural stories and conversations.
Listen first, speak later
Focus on listening to English as much as possible before trying to speak. Listen to easy-to-understand audio that matches your level.
Learn through repetition
Repeating content multiple times helps the brain remember longer and react more naturally. Listen to one lesson multiple times (at least 5-7 days) before moving on to a new one.
Learn through emotional stories
Emotional lessons will help you remember longer. Listen to stories told in different ways (present, past, future tenses) to learn grammar naturally.
Learn deeply, not broadly
You shouldn't study too many topics at once. Learn one piece of content thoroughly before moving on to new content.
Learn with a positive, stress-free mindset
Learn English in a comfortable, pressure-free way, without fear of making mistakes. Combine listening and practice while walking or relaxing for better brain absorption.
